it’s because our main goal—like a good friend—is to ensure everything runs smoothly. In doing so, we become acute observers of your dynamic. We see the real connections.
I’ve learned there are generally two kinds of love I photograph: those who are great friends and lovers, and those who appear to be soulmates.
The soulmate connection carries a different kind of energy—a deep, ancient certainty. But whether you are two friends promising to rely on and support each other forever, or two souls who simply chose each other, the most priceless phenomenon is the same: that moment when you get down the aisle. You can see a sense of peace. They might be nervous because they’re in front of everyone they know, but they are peaceful because they are with that one person.
This simple, beautiful willingness to want to be with the one you love is the spiritual core of the day.
